Patient Safety
Also known as MCIC’s Patient Safety & Loss Prevention Department, our mission remains the same – to reduce the risk of adverse events, unintended outcomes and malpractice claims while helping to increase patient safety at our Subscriber institutions.  Through our Risk Profile and Risk Assessment methodologies, we help to identify risk and causation factors that may negatively impact patient safety in order to increase awareness and understanding.  In partnership with our Subscribers and insureds, we facilitate and sponsor patient safety and loss prevention project initiatives designed to reduce risk, decrease malpractice claims and increase patient safety.
